Dr. Laurino grew up in Chicago, IL. After high school she attended Illinois State University where she earned a degree in Exercise Science. Following her undergraduate studies, Dr. Laurino attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA. where she earned her Doctorate in Chiropractic. While her time at Palmer College of Chiropractic, she did two internship programs. Dr. Laurino worked at the Community Health Care, Inc. in Davenport, IA where she treated the underprivileged and low-income population. She also received advanced training in extremity adjustments from Dr. Mitch Mally, helping many patients avoid surgeries and prevent re-injures.
As a lifetime athlete, Dr. Laurino has a passion for treating athletes since she herself has dealt with injuries. Chiropractic for her was the key to her success in returning to play from repeated injury. She is an advocate for exercise, nutrition, and natural healing.
Specializes in dry needling, animal chiropractic, Thompson, Diversified, Gonstead, NIMMO, soft tissue, Activator protocol (Basic, Advanced, & Extremities), and Extremities. Nominated at Palmer College of Chiropractic for a Clinical Excellence Award.
Successfully completed the State Approved Post-Graduate Certification Program in Veterinary Spinal Manipulative Therapy (CVSMT). 226 hours of post graduate education specifically in animal chiropractic emphasizing functional neurology, muscular, and osseous anatomy specific to small and large animals.
When not working, she enjoys playing in competitive sports leagues such as flag football and tackle football. If she isnt on the field she is spending time with her dog Daxton, a Shikoku Ken, Japanese wolf dog.
