Dr. Alex Park was born and raised in Park Ridge, Illinois. He attended grade school at Mary Seat of Wisdom and graduated from Maine South High School in 2003. He went on to study at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign where he graduated, with honors, with a B.S. in Kinesiology. Dr. Park completed his Doctoral Degree as a Chiropractic Physician from National University of Health Sciences in 2011.
At National University of Health Sciences Dr. Park focused his energy on studying anatomy, physiology, rehabilitation, orthopedics, movement assessment, and biomechanics. Dr. Park was fortunate enough to learn directly from Chiropractors on the PGA Tour, NCAA and professional teams. He's passionate about not only relieving his patient's pain, but also helping them avoid the potential for re-injury and optimizing their function from sport performance to activities of daily living. His goal is to help them perform at their best whether they're in the office or out on the field.
Dr. Park has been active in sports his entire life. He learned to ice skate at Oakton Ice Arena and from there played hockey with the Glenview Stars organization, winning three state championships, and later played AAA hockey for Chicago Young Americans, Team Illinois, and the Chicago Chill. During the off season, Dr. Park took on baseball at Maine South High School where he lettered his junior and senior seasons. After high school, Dr. Park went on to play Junior A Hockey for the Springfield Junior Blues followed by winning two National Titles, including an undefeated senior year, while playing Division 1 Club Hockey at his alma mater. Dr. Park currently resides in Park Ridge with his wife, Heidi, and twin boys, Charlie and Payton. Outside the office, Dr. Park enjoys playing softball, hockey and golf, weight lifting, traveling and coaching his kids sports programs. |
